Our Story
TBIS was originally founded in 2020 in New Zealand (named Accelerate Growth), right in the midst of the global pandemic. Born out of a desire to support local communities during a time of uncertainty, our mission was clear from the start: help small local businesses adopt digital technologies to overcome the challenges imposed by lockdowns and rapidly changing market conditions.

As we grew, TBIS partnered with government programmes to provide tailored support in business planning, business analysis and digital strategy, empowering small businesses to not only survive but continue growing in a digital-first world.

Our journey took a new turn when our founder, Andre Nunes, relocated to the Gold Coast, Australia. With over 20 years of experience in the technology industry, Andre brought a wealth of knowledge from working with large enterprises across diverse industries. His vision helped shape TBIS into what it is today.

Now based in Australia, TBIS is powered by a team of experienced associate consultants that delivers enterprise-grade expertise to startups and small businesses, each bringing unique skill sets to the table.

Meet the Founder
When Andre turned 15, his father gave him his first computer, an IBM Aptiva Pentium II running at 300 MHz with 4MB of RAM and Windows 95. His father looked at him and said, “Now, what are you going to do with this?” That challenge set Andre on a lifelong path. Soon after, his father enrolled him in an IT school, where he chose to study programming in VB6 and Delphi 5.
Andre quickly began building client–server applications to help friends with their small businesses. That experience sparked something deeper in him, the realisation that technology could be more than code on a screen, it could solve problems and create real value for people and businesses.

In 2000, he enrolled at university to formally study Business and IT. By 2003, he landed his first role as a software developer. Over the following years, he designed and developed numerous software solutions, which naturally led him to progress into systems analysis. In that role, he wasn’t just writing code anymore, he was shaping solutions, collaborating with stakeholders, designing architectures, and helping bring ideas to life through technology.

This journey, from the moment his father placed that first computer in front of him, has built the foundation of who he is as a professional today: someone driven by curiosity, guided by problem-solving, and committed to using technology to make a difference for businesses and people alike.
Now, with two decades of transformative experience, Andre is a passionate leader dedicated to driving innovation through software engineering, digital product and software development, business systems implementation and integration, and data insights. His extensive experience spans across a variety of industries, including manufacturing, logistics and supply chain, wholesale, retail, healthcare, education, tourism, civil engineering and infrastructure where he has led projects that have fundamentally reshaped business operations and growth strategies.

Andre excels in tackling complex challenges, managing multi-functional teams, and delivering tailored strategies, plans, software and system solutions that align with and enable business strategies. Andre's global experience, having worked in Brazil, the United States, New Zealand, Australia, and China, has equipped him with a unique ability to collaborate across cultures and implement solutions that accelerate growth, streamline operations, and empower teams to achieve their full potential.
